7. Abraham and the Promises

This section of the course is about the line of descent from Abraham to Jesus and the promises that were received from God by this line.

 

 

Abraham lived about 2000BC; he is revered by three faiths as the “Father of the faithful”. He is important because he showed great faith in God, and as a result of this received promises from God. These promises were renewed with his descendants, Isaac, Jacob and later David. They are fulfilled in Jesus Christ and through him to all the faithful. This section of the course is about these promises and how they apply to us today.
